TTS was part of a US Department of Energy funded project team, led bu Michigan Technological university. The official project title is Energy Optimization of Light and Heavy Duty Vehicle Cohorts of Mixed Connectivity, Automation and Propulsion System Capabilities via Meshed V2V-V2O and Expanded Data Sharing. TTS developed data-driven predictive vehicle queuing model, provided MAP/SPAT services as well as its EcoDrive Android app to support the AI-based cohort energy optimization. Project partner AVL created the following video of the principal investigator, Darrell Tabinette, Ph. D., associate professor at Michigan Technological University, explaining the project's underlying concept and why it provides such high energy saving potential.
